- Social skills and interpersonal communication
- Public speaking and giving presentations
- Anti-drug and anti-violence counseling
- Professional grooming and comportment--appropriate look, talk and action in diverse settings
- Administrative skills through rotating office responsibilities
- Computer and media instruction geared toward developing research skills
- Homework help and MCAS and SAT tutoring
The program serves teen interns through travel:
- Touring college campuses in New England and the Midwest and Mid-Atlantic states
- Summer trips to State parks, camping, and other recreational venues
The program serves teen interns through:
- Locating and negotiating summer and year-round internships, paid and unpaid.
- Mentoring and training interns in community organizing activities such as:
- Getting out the vote and other constituent initiatives
- Safe streets mentoring for teens by providing a safe space and safe activities
- Instruction in developing needs assessment surveys and data gathering
